the grass isn't always greener

I've always been smitten with the idea of fame and fortune. When I was younger, I wanted to be an award-winning actress; my dreams were paved with the red carpet.
But when I see stuff like this, I stop and think: is the grass really greener on the other side? Demi Lovato is seeking treatment for "emotional and physical issues." Miley Cyrus is constantly getting attacked by parents and the media alike. Lindsey Lohan has gone off the deep end.
These are stars I used to look up to. But now, I pity them. I wish I could offer them advice, perhaps whisk them away from the spotlight for a bit, just to talk.
Maybe they just need a little Jesus.

Nobody acts for the fame, they do it because they love it. Fame is forced upon the individual and most of the time there's no way to avoid it no matter how hard you try. The grass isn't greener. Trust me.
