school is just not the same anymore

It's only been 2 and a half days, and I'm already sick of school. It's so bad, in fact, that I went home "sick" this morning. I can't pinpoint exactly what's so different about this year. Maybe it's my classes, or maybe it's the fact that our cheery, spirited principal is gone. The hallways just feel different this year. Gloomier than ever. I once read a book about a school that suddenly adopted strict rules, and new policies. The new principal actually brainwashed parents into thinking that everything was alright, when, in reality, the school was becoming more and more like a prison. It sounds like a dumb book, but scenes from it keep flashing across my mind. School is definitely strange this year. I don't know what's going on, and perhaps I'm just being paranoid, but I really want to figure this out.
